Welcome to Bellingham Community Garden
What Makes Us Different
At our community garden, everything we use comes straight from the people who live here — seeds, compost, tools, and time. We don’t just garden in the community; we garden with the community. Every harvest reflects local generosity, shared skills, and a deep commitment to sustainability.
This is more than a place to grow food — it's a place to grow together.
Our garden is open to anyone who wants to connect with the earth and their neighbors. From first-time gardeners learning to plant their first tomato to seasoned growers sharing tips on composting and pest control, every plot tells a story of collaboration. Workshops, volunteer projects, and seasonal events bring people of all ages together to learn, share, and celebrate the joys of growing fresh, healthy food. The skills and friendships formed here extend well beyond our garden beds, enriching the entire community.
Giving back is at the heart of what we do. Each season, we dedicate several donation plots to growing food specifically for those in need. Last year alone, we donated 418 pounds of fresh, locally grown produce to the weekly food pantry at St. Blaise Church. These donations — made possible by our volunteers’ time and effort — help feed local families and strengthen the bond between our garden and the wider community. Every seed we plant is another step toward a healthier, more connected Bellingham.
